Hot meals are offered every day at 12 noon at The Brattleboro Senior Center. For those over 60 there is a suggested donation of $3.50. All those under 60 are charged $6.00 per meal. The menu is set one month in advance, but is subject to change due to food availability and severe weather conditions. During special programs, times and fees are subject to change. Reservations are appreciated. Some special programs require reservations.
Senior Center Dining Room Seating Policy
It has come to our attention that the practice of saving seats during the lunch program has become a problem for some of our program participants. In order to be fair to everyone, and to enhance the social aspect of our meal program, the following policy has been implemented:
- No seats may be saved before 11:30 AM, except on days where there is an appetizer table. The time on those days is 11:15 AM.
- When you check in for lunch after 11:30, you may save a seat for yourself and one other person.
- If you are expecting a large crowd (more than 4), you may make reservations to save those seats the day before at the front desk. If the people that you have reserved a seat for do not show up by 12:15PM, their seats may be filled by other diners.
- Seats may only be held by numbers available at the sign in desk .
- No one will be served after 12:30PM
- Weekend meals can be arranged for take home on Fridays with the Executive Director or Head Cook. You must sign up before Wednesday.
- Take out meals must be arranged before 12 noon and are subject to availability
